CIL Indexed Rate Summary
To find the CIL Charging rate for CIL liable development from the below Residential CIL Map :-
- Firstly, find the Council’s CIL CHARGING ZONE for your development: Type in either the first line or postcode of your development into the Address box on this Map to pinpoint its exact location within the District. Then noting the colour/type of shading given at this location, check the appropriate zone in the Map Legend for this shading (for example, purple shading indicates it is located within the £150 CIL charging zone of the Council’s current CIL Charging Schedule).
- Secondly, as it is mandatory in the CIL Regulations that the CIL Index (produced by RICS) is applied to these zone rates on 1st Jan each year, to find the current CIL INDEXED RATE for this Charging Zone, click on the relevant link below for the year that the planning application was granted/decided and refer to the row showing the CIL charging rate for your development. For a development approved during 2026, for example, the '2026 CIL Indexed Rate' link below shows the CIL rate as £180.18 per square meter for the £150 charging zone.
