25. What happens if I use my second home for short-term holiday lets?
If you decide to use your property as a short-term holiday let, you may need to pay Business Rates. Read more on the the Government's Business Rates pages, including how this would affect your waste collections.
You must also ensure that you comply with all relevant requirements including:
Until your second home meets the criteria of being a holiday let and is removed from the Valuation Office Agency’s Council Tax list, you will still need to pay the 100% Council Tax premium, in addition to the standard Council Tax charge.
