What you will need to do (including a builder, architect or agent acting for you)

You must ensure that we have fully registered your application before work starts on site. If you are constructing a new dwelling, there is certain information which is required to be submitted prior to the work starting on site such as SAP calculations or a Part R connectivity plan.

You must provide written confirmation of your Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, including signatures from the people/organisations that are taking on those roles before the work starts on site. Please use our Assign a Dutyholder form to provide the details of your Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.

You must give us 2 working days notification that work is due to start. you can email this notification to us at buildingcontrol@eastdevon.gov.uk
