4. How much does mitigation cost?
From April 1st 2026 the charges per dwelling are:

The rates were updated following the adoption of the new Mitigation Strategy in 2025. The increase reflects the need for additional staff resources and a more accurate understanding of the real costs involved in delivering the Strategy over the long term.
These charges will be index linked every year on 1st April using the Retail Price Index (RPI).
