3. Submit an application
What we will do
Register the building notice application, once enough information has been provided. Once we have done this, we will send a letter of acknowledgement and issue a list of construction stages you should notify us so that we can undertake an inspection (known as an Inspection Service Plan). This initial list of inspections will be adapted at our discretion to reflect the phasing of the works, site issues, remedial works etc.
What you will need to do (including a builder, architect or agent acting for you)
Provide sufficient information to describe the proposed works. This may include site and location plans, building plans, details, calculations and any additional information requested by Building Control.
A site plan is required for all new buildings and extensions. A site plan should show the property, including all of its boundaries, with the proposed extension or new building clearly identified.
Note : A Full Plans application is required where works involve a new building or extension within 3 metres of a public sewer or where fronting a private road or for works to any building other than a private residential dwelling.
Fees.
We will calculate your application fee based on the information submitted and the resources required to process your application and oversee the works.
