Applications for a pitch on the seafront Promenade in Sidmouth, during the Folk Festival, will be accepted from 9am on Wednesday 13 May 2026. Any applications received before this date & time will be disregarded.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 27 May 2026.

Please make sure you read the important information before you apply. 

The application form can be found below. You can provide your own risk assessment or you may use our template. You will need to submit these, along side a picture of your stall structure and a copy of your Public Liability Insurance, which must be for a minimum of £5 million.  Please submit this to sfftraders@eastdevon.gov.uk  

There is a non refundable admin fee of £50 plus VAT. This will be invoiced to you once your application has been submitted.

Important information 

The items proposed for sale must be specified within the application. Items of food, drink or other consumables will not be permitted.

There will be a maximum of 40 pitches available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

  • Applications close at 9am Wednesday 27 May 2026
  • Successful applicants will be contacted by 5pm on Wednesday 20 June 2026
  • Terms and conditions will be issued in June - date TBC. 
  • Pitches will be confirmed by 5pm Wednesday 8 July 2026
  • Full payment will be needed by 9am on Monday 20 July 2026

The fees & charges are trading during Sidmouth Folk Festival are 1 x admin fee of £50 plus VAT, this will be invoiced to you once we received your application. The admin fee is non refundable. 

If you are successful, the land hire fee is £618, this will be invoiced to you once we have confirmed your application has been successful.
