InformationRingo – Cashless Parking

From the1st June 2025 a 10p convenience fee will be charged by Ringo on all transactions in East Devon District Council car parks. This fee is charged by Ringo for use of their services. Payments at East Devon pay and display machines by cash or card will not incur this fee.

How to use RingGo

Please note that confirmation and reminder text messages are charged (by RingGo) at 15p per message. These messages can be stopped if you do not wish to receive them.

Log into your RingGo account, go to ‘Account’ and then ‘Notifications’ where you can switch off/on any notifications.

How to park using the RingGo app

 To use the RingGo app to park, simply follow these instructions:

1. Search for ‘RingGo’ in your mobile market place. The app is free of charge so simply download and install!   
2. Open the RingGo App
3. You will be offered to log in or register, follow the onscreen instructions for logging in or registering your account

Selecting Car Park

1. If you are an existing user and wish to park at a previous location, tap the ‘Sessions’ tab. This will load a list of previous sessions. To book the same as a previous session, simply tap ‘Park again’ for that session. All details for the selected session (including vehicle and location) will then be offered
2. If you wish to park in a new location, select “Park” and enter the location code on the signage in the car park. Select the location and ensure it matches the signs in the car park.
3. Alternatively you and view the location geographically on the “map” section.

Parking

1. After entering your location you will be asked what vehicle you are parking, either select the vehicle or enter the details if it’s a new vehicle.
2. Select “Choose Duration” and select the amount of time you require parking.
3. You will then be taken to the payment section, here if you wish, you can add SMS reminders to inform you 10 minutes before expiry (This will incur an additional charge)
4. Select your payment method.
5. Confirm all details of the session
6. Select Purchase
7. You should then receive a confirmation of purchase.
