1. What is planned maintenance?
To help keep your home safe and in good condition, we have a plan to do regular work on homes. This work can include:
- Updating kitchens and bathrooms
- Replacing outside doors and windows
- Updating heating systems
- Replacing roofs, gutters, fascias and soffits
- Painting the outside of homes
- Repairing outside walls
We try to stick to the plan, but sometimes we have to do urgent work sooner. This can mean other jobs get delayed.
Sometimes tenants ask us to wait before doing work on their home.
When someone moves out, our team uses the chance to fix and improve the home before the next person moves in.
2. Will work be done on my home, and if so, when?
We’re updating our plans for home improvements and will share the new schedule as soon as it’s ready.
If you want to know if your home is going to have work done soon, you can contact our?repairs team? (01395 517458) and they’ll let you know.
If your home is on the list for planned work, we’ll send you a letter to explain what’s going to happen. You’ll also get a visit from one of our surveyors to check your home.
After we choose a contractor to do the work, we’ll tell you who they are. That contractor will then contact you to:
- Visit your home before starting
- Agree on a date and how long the work will take
- Help you choose styles or colours (if that applies)
3. Can I choose what my new fittings look like?
Yes, for some upgrades, you can choose how things look.
If your?front door?is being replaced, you can pick from different colours and styles.
If your?kitchen?is being updated, you can choose from a standard list of:
- Four or five unit door and drawer front colours
- Two handle styles
- Four worktop styles
- Four wall tiles and floor covering colours
If your?bathroom?is being upgraded, you can choose from a standard list of:
- Three colours for the floor covering
- Four colours for the wall tiles
Before the work starts, our contractor will contact you and bring samples so you can choose what you like best.
