InformationNature Recovery and Biodiversity

East Devon District Council has published its 2023-2025 Biodiversity Duty Report alongside a draft Local Nature Recovery Plan. Together, these documents set out how the Council is meeting its legal duty to conserve and enhance biodiversity, and how nature recovery will be supported across the district.

The draft Local Nature Recovery Plan identifies priorities and opportunities to restore habitats, improve ecological connectivity, and support wildlife alongside people and places. The Biodiversity Duty Report explains the actions the Council has taken so far and how biodiversity will be considered in future decisions.

We will be opening a public consultation to help shape the priorities and actions of our draft Local Nature Recovery Plan which will be updated following the consultation.

These documents demonstrate the Councils commitment to its Nature Recovery Declaration and delivering its Council Plan priorities.
