Grants

The StartSmart Programme offers small grants to entrepreneurs and early stage businesses to help you get set up. 

To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must be either:

• an entrepreneur ready to launch their business within the next 3 months OR
• a start-up business who has commenced trading in the last 3 years

Please read the StartSmart Fund Policy for the full details and eligibility criteria for the scheme. 

Grants between £500 and £2,500 are available and can go towards either capital or revenue expenditure. Applicants must demonstrate how the costs requested will help to establish their business or support early stage growth. 

All applicants must have received support from an accredited business support provider and have a business plan and cashflow forecast in place.
