Report a dangerous structure

This service is to report non-urgent structural concerns.

This is not an emergency service and is only monitored during standard office hours.

Please be aware that we can only accept files up to 10Mb each.

Start the journey

Please provide as much information as possible regarding the location of the structure that you are concerned about.

Any photos that you can provide to help us identify the exact location and the nature of your concerns are useful.

Details of the owner of the property are also helpful if you know this information.

Once we receive a report, we will ask one of our Surveyors to visit the reported danger to see whether any involvement by the council is required.

If necessary, the council may serve notice on the owner, requiring him or her to put the structure into a safe condition.

If immediate action is required, then emergency work may be authorised by the Building Control Surveyor.
